TRANSLATION & PROOFREADING

Translation. Our translation process starts with identifying suitable translators to work on each project based on subject matter and technical knowledge.

Different types of translation projects require different approaches to translation. For example, texts used in marketing materials may allow for more creativity in the translations, whereas translations used in legal documents may follow the wording of texts more directly, with additional notes included to explain the meaning of certain terms.

Research is also a big part of the translation process. This includes research on subject matter, terms, standardised translations of names and places etc. Corporations may also have their own glossary of standardised terms that translators need to follow. If a client does not maintain their own glossary, translators may have to go through past materials to find the correct terms to use.

Proofreading is done by a second translator. The proofreader will review the translation against the source document and correct errors, grammar issues, syntax, formatting and alignment issues.

This is part of our quality control process to ensure that the translation deliverables are accurate and effective.

Translation is a collaborative process. What clients see is the end product produced through behind-the-scene reviews, comments and discussions between the translation agency and the linguists.

At Wei.Trans.Create, we work with our clients to come up with the solution that matches their needs.
